REACT4D

A Four-Dimensional Event-Based Simulation Framework

A scientific framework for the simulation, analysis and visualization of particle interactions in space and time. REACT4D provides a common foundation for studies in which the four-dimensional structure of particle interactions is essential.

Explore the applications

The REACT4D framework

REACT4D is designed as a general framework for event-based four-dimensional simulation. It combines spatial and temporal information to describe interaction processes and their observable consequences.

The framework is intended to provide a flexible foundation for numerical studies, detector concepts, beam configurations, timing measurements and other applications where space and time must be treated together.

Applications

REACT4D is a general framework. Individual scientific applications can be developed on top of the common four-dimensional simulation infrastructure.

ILUMI4D

ILUMI4D is the first major application of REACT4D. It focuses on luminosity, interaction-region geometry and four-dimensional collision dynamics.

The studies include beam crossing configurations, bunch-length effects, vertex distributions, timing information, detector observables and luminosity-related quantities.
